Our Mission
The primary goal of the Women of Restoration is to reduce the rate of recidivism among women who have been incarcerated by providing group support, guidance, and the basic necessities of life. The Women of Restoration also supports women from all walks of life who desire to rehabilitate themselves physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually.
"Restoration" means bringing back to a former state or condition. Sin has separated us from our former relationship with God. Women of Restoration's primary mission is to help to restore women back to wholeness.We believe we will fulfill this mission by:
- Ensuring that the WOR is based on the foundation of the Word of God
- Working with other ministries and community organizations to provide job search, educational, and health assistance to women
- Providing women with shelter, clothing, and food upon release from incarceration and from off of the streets
- Providing spiritual help and counseling to women striving to rehabilitate themselves back into our community from incarceration and harsh/abusive living conditions, as well as women who are struggling in their walk with God
- Putting women's spiritual needs first by teaching them:
- The Word of God
- How to walk in faith
- How to have trust and belief in themselves
- How to increase their self-esteem
- How to reach their highest potential in life
